How This Course Works
You'll learn to
- -Understand the module/chapter structure and how progress is tracked
- -Know what to do when you hit a chapter that feels too easy or too hard
This course is organized into tiers, each tier into modules, and each module into a handful of short chapters, usually two to four minutes each. Read in order the first time through. Later chapters assume you have the vocabulary from earlier ones.
Progress & XP
Finishing every chapter in a module, either by reading it or by passing its quiz at 70% or higher, marks that module complete and awards a one-time XP bonus toward your ScaleDojo leaderboard total. Progress is saved automatically if you are signed in.
If a chapter feels too basic, skim it anyway. Later quizzes and the GenAI Lab's levels assume the vocabulary introduced here, even in chapters that feel obvious.
Two Phases, One Course
Phase 1 has no lab exercises of its own. There is no classical ML or neural network track in the GenAI Lab, since the lab is entirely about generative AI systems. Phase 2 is where reading turns into building. Nearly every module from that point on ends with a direct link into real GenAI Lab levels.
When you are picking up a new, unfamiliar system or codebase at work, do you skim the "basics" sections even if they look obvious?
"No, if it looks basic I skip straight to the advanced parts. I already know the basics."
"Yes, deliberately. Terminology and conventions that seem obvious in isolation are often exactly what more advanced material silently assumes, and skipping them is how confusion in the harder material actually gets introduced. I would rather spend two minutes confirming I am not missing a term than debug a misunderstanding three sections later."
